Kelowna Short Service Clinic - Call for an appointment

Our organization provides a Short Service Clinic for people in the Okanagan area who want to find out what their human rights are.

How can we help?

  • We can assist people to determine if the might have grounds to file a human rights complaint
  • We can explain the process
  • We can assist in drafting complaints and preparing amendments
  • We can explain legal principles of human right law.
  • We can assist in understanding defenses to complaints under the Human Rights Code
  • We can explain damages and remedies
  • We can explain how to get legal representation
  • If it turns out that there is a different legal issue we can suggest who might be best to contact

It is IMPORTANT to note that the BC Human Rights Code requires that a complaint be filed within 6 months of the discrimination. Please keep this in mind when making an appointment. If your complaint will be filed late if you wait for assistance then please contact our office to see how to proceed.
